• How does a tide clock work?
A tide clock follows the lunar cycle and shows the moment of high or low tide. The needle at the top indicates high tide. The needle at the bottom indicates low tide. The needle moves continuously, so you can see whether the water is rising or falling.

• Do I need to set the tide clock?
Yes, you do need to set the tide clock once for the tides in your region. You can do this by synchronizing the clock with a local high tide. After that, the clock will automatically follow the tide pattern. So, if you're sailing to a different region, you'll need to synchronize the clock again at your destination.

• How can I set the tide clock?
Thanks to the front opening of this tide clock, it's easy to open. On the back of the clock are two gears. The large gear is for the tide indicator, and the small gear is for setting the time.

• Is the tide clock moisture resistant?
To protect the tide clock electronics and casing, we recommend keeping it out of damp environments as much as possible. A cabin or a dry spot in your home are ideal locations, perfect for adding a maritime feel to your interior.

• How do I replace the battery in my quartz clock?
Thanks to the front opening of this tide clock, it's easy to replace the battery yourself. Be especially careful to remove the battery at the end of the season to prevent leakage if the tide clock is mounted on your boat during the winter.

• Can I use a tide clock indoors?
Yes, a tide clock is ideal for indoor use and always provides relevant information, even if you have it at home. Once the clock is set for your area, you can easily see when the high and low tides are. This is handy, allowing you to depart your boat at the right time or plan activities on the coast.

• Does the ship's clock come with a warranty? Yes, when you purchase a Wempe ship's clock, you receive a three-year international warranty. This warranty covers damage or defects not caused by external influences or improper use, including issues with functionality and the clockwork.
