If there's one meter that's often underestimated on a boat, it's humidity . With the BARIGO ORION thermohygrometer, you can see at a glance how humid your cabin is and what the temperature is doing . This is practical, because excessive humidity is often the first sign of condensation, musty upholstery, poorly drying cushions, or even a small leak .

The photos show exactly why this is such a great "daily check": at the top, you can read the % humidity , and at the bottom, the °C temperature . The black dial and clear markings keep everything clear and easy to read. The polished stainless steel bezel gives it that luxurious yacht look, while the black center strap keeps it modern. At Ø102 mm, it pairs beautifully with the ORION clock and barometer—a set that's not only functional but also truly completes your interior.

In short: if you want to better control your boat climate (and detect problems sooner), this is a smart, stylish choice.

• Polishing: microfibre cloth for stainless steel (no abrasives).

• Salt air on board: wipe with a slightly damp cloth (fresh water) and rub dry.

• Placement: avoid full sun/heating → this affects measurements and may reduce readability over time.

• Control: look especially at trends (is it becoming more humid structurally?) — that is where the real value lies.

• Why is measuring humidity so important on a boat?
Because high humidity is often more visible than damage: condensation, musty smell, wet pillows or mold growth.

• What humidity is “nice” in the cabin?
Guideline: Around 40–60% usually feels comfortable. Prolonged exposure to a higher temperature (certainly 70+%) increases the risk of condensation and mustiness.

• How do I use this to spot leaks?
If you suddenly see a structurally higher % in one area (e.g. forepeak), then that is a signal to check there extra for moisture or a small leak.

• Where is the best place to hang it?
Inside, out of direct sunlight, and not directly above a heater or vent. This way, it will measure more calmly and accurately.

• Is this only for boats?
No, also great in a holiday home, office or bathroom environment where you want to keep the indoor climate tight.
