• Wipe the instruments with a soft microfibre cloth; the cases are varnished, so do not use polishing or cleaning agents.
• Hang the set in a dry place to prevent moisture and corrosion damage.
• Replace the clock battery annually, even if it is still working – this prevents leakage.
• Re-adjust the barometer at the beginning of the season or after long-term storage.
• What is the difference between the Schatz Royal and Schatz Midi series?
The Midi, at 155mm, is more compact and has a slightly simpler finish, but features the same German quality movements. Ideal where the midi (180mm) is too large.
• How do I hang the set neatly?
Hang both instruments at the same height with 10–15 cm spacing for a calm, symmetrical appearance.
• Which barometer is included in this set?
The set comes with the Schatz aneroid barometer (without thermometer). The sensitive mechanism reacts immediately to pressure changes, so you can anticipate an approaching weather change early.
• Can I also buy the instruments separately?
Yes, all instruments are available separately, but as a set, you benefit from a set discount and are guaranteed an identical design and color.
