All maintenance & replacement options for your marine furniture
A good teak chair will last twenty years. The canvas won't. Sun, salt, and rain take their toll, and at some point, the fabric will be discolored or worn through, even though the frame is still in perfect condition. In that case, you don't need to buy a new chair. Or maybe you're just looking for a new design.
In this collection, you'll find replacement canvases, cushion sets, and seats for director's chairs, teak deck chairs, folding chairs, and stools. Available separately or as complete sets, in colors that match the original or are intentionally different, a new canvas is also an easy way to make an old chair fit in again.
Pay attention to the size. Canvases and seats are model-specific: the width, the hem finish, and the attachment method vary by chair. Each product indicates which model it fits. If you're unsure, measure the width of the seat and the length of the backrest, and compare them with the specifications. Teak oil: a choice, not an obligation. Teak that is left alone slowly grays to a silver-grey hue, and that is not wear and tear but patina. The wood remains just as strong, and it's precisely the look that belongs by the coast. Many owners consciously do nothing, and that is a perfectly legitimate choice.
If you want to maintain the warm honey color, you can do so with teak oil, but then it's a commitment to yourself. Outdoors, the oil washes and weathers away, so count on at least one treatment per season, and two for intensive use or a lot of sun. If you skip a year, you'll get an uneven appearance that is harder to restore than if you had never started. You can order teak oil separately from us, so you can simply do it in the spring when you're tidying up anyway.

Teak that you leave untouched will age to a silver-grey shade and remain
just as strong. That is patina, not wear and tear. Oiling is purely a matter of your colour preference: if you want to keep the warm honey tone, then oil it. If you do nothing, the furniture will not wear out any sooner, it will just naturally discolour.

Usually yes, but the wood must first be cleaned to remove the grey top layer. That's more work than maintenance. Consider beforehand if you will genuinely commit to doing it every season thereafter.
