• Does the VION thermo-hygrometer require a battery?
No. Temperature and humidity are measured analogically, so no battery or power is required.

• How accurate is it?
The thermometer is accurate to ±1 °C between 10 and 30 °C, and to ±2 °C between -20 and 60 °C. The hygrometer is accurate to ±10% relative humidity. This is more than sufficient to see if the indoor climate is heading in the right direction.

• What is a good humidity level?
A relative humidity of 40 to 60% is considered comfortable. If the red pointer remains above 60 to 65% for a longer period, the risk of condensation and mold increases, and it is advisable to ventilate. Use the hygrometer primarily to monitor the trend, not as a precise measurement.

• Where is the best place to hang it?
At eye level in the room whose climate you want to monitor, away from direct sunlight and not above or next to a radiator. After moving the instrument, it takes about an hour before the readings are correct.

• How do I mount it?
Screw the included mounting ring to the wall and twist the instrument onto it. A mounting template for drilling is available so that the holes are correctly positioned the first time. It is just as easy to remove without tools.
