The short format is useful when space on the chart table is limited.

A parallel ruler consists of two rulers that remain parallel via hinged arms, allowing you to shift a heading across a nautical chart without the angle changing. This 304.8 mm | 12-inch version features milled acrylic rulers with aluminum arms and a handle, as well as a protractor scale for transferring headings onto a paper nautical chart. A handy size that also fits on a cramped chart table, supplied with a protective sleeve.
