Een inbouwkompas oogt het strakst en zit niemand in de weg, en de C15 is om die reden een van de meest gekozen modellen. Groot genoeg om op te sturen, compact genoeg voor een console.
Controleer voor het zagen wat er achter het paneel zit: kabels van luidsprekers of instrumenten vlak achter het kompas geven afwijking. Het montagegat is Ø 115 mm.

1. Cleaning
Clean the compass regularly with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents – these may damage the dome surface.
Remove salt residue after each sea voyage to prevent corrosion of surrounding surfaces.
🔹 2. Check the fluid
The compass is filled with liquid to provide a stable map. A small air bubble is normal and functional.
Do you see a large air bubble or is your compass leaking? Contact us for inspection or repair. All Autonautic compasses are 100% repairable.
🔹 3. Check the lighting
Test the lights occasionally (especially for nighttime use). Replace the bulbs as needed – the system supports both 12V and 24V installations.
Also check the electrical connections for corrosion or loose wires.
Is this compass also suitable for open boats?
Yes, the fully sealed construction protects against water infiltration and UV radiation.
What is the difference between the flat and conical map?
A flat card offers a classic, straight-on reading from above. The conical card increases the reading angle, ideal for installations below eye level.
Can I compensate the compass afterwards?
Yes, this model supports an optional course deviation compensation kit for fine adjustment.
