Teak is naturally oily, repels water well, and remains relatively stable under temperature and humidity fluctuations. Ideal for use on board.
ARC Marine's teak furniture is also subject to sun (UV) and weather influences. It will turn gray over time when left outdoors or on deck. This is the normal "silver-gray patina" and therefore not necessarily a sign of deterioration. Regular cleaning (mild cleaner, soft brush) helps a lot. Teak oil quickly restores that deep color, but requires repeated application and can cause stains or uneven patches.
Because it offers the best of both worlds: comfortable seating and smart storage. It folds into a compact package, is made of sturdy teak, and often comes with a choice of canvas or (deluxe) cushions in multiple colors.
