Set the clock to the correct time before hanging it up; the quick-lock allows you to twist the front back on in one single motion. Use a high-quality AA battery and remove it when the ship goes into winter storage.

The A080C is a quartz ship's clock with an 80 mm dial in a mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel housing. Red and green sectors mark the radio silence periods, while blue hands and a red second hand keep the reading clear. You screw the included mounting ring to the wall and twist the clock onto it.

• What do the red and green sectors on the dial mean?
These are the radiosilence periods in maritime radiotelephony. During the red sectors (minutes 15–18 and 45–48) and the green sectors (minutes 0–3 and 30–33), emergency frequencies were kept clear for distress calls. This makes this clock recognizable as a genuine radio room clock.

• What battery does the clock require?
One AA battery (Mignon 1.5 V). This is not included.

• How do I replace the battery or set the time?
You turn the clock out of the mounting ring on the wall, replace the battery or set the time, and turn it back in. You do not need any tools for this.

• How accurate is the clock?
The quartz movement is accurate to approximately ±6 minutes per year. Setting it occasionally, for example when switching to summer or winter time, is sufficient.

• Can the clock be hung on board?
Yes. The casing is made of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel. Hang the clock inside in a dry place, such as in the cabin, and not outside in the wind and spray. If the boat remains in the water during the winter, remove the battery to prevent leakage.

• Does the clock come with a warranty?
Yes, you receive a 2-year statutory warranty. This covers defects not caused by external influences or improper use, including issues with the operation and the clockwork.
