About Schatz
CHARACTER
Schatz stands for precision with character: ship's clocks and instruments that are not for a fleeting moment, but for years of use. Classic in appearance, serious in technology, designed to shine both at home and on board. Along with Chelsea Clock, one of the oldest brands we carry.
HISTORY
Founded in 1881, today produced by Delite in Måløv (Denmark), where craftsmanship still thrives on the workbench and doesn't belong in a museum. Solidly built, neatly finished, with a reliable movement, for generations. It's no coincidence that the iconic design has hardly changed in almost 150 years.
Available at Studio Maritime since 2011

The Schatz Royal series comes in a generous size that makes an immediate impression. With a diameter of 180 mm, rich detailing and a classic maritime look, this series is made to be seen. Available in brass, brushed brass or chrome and with a mechanical Hermle movement or quartz. The ship's clock with bell strikes according to the traditional maritime watch. Old versus new
For over 60 years, the Schatz design has remained virtually unchanged. A rare constant, testifying to timeless class and a deep connection to maritime tradition. Without compromising on technology or finish, Schatz remains the name in ship clocks for many.
Why Schatz
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Schatz clocks are highly suitable as a stylish and durable gift. Thanks to their timeless appearance and maritime character, they are often chosen for anniversaries, birthdays, and business gifts.
Vintage models often feature a mechanical movement. And until recently, modern Schatz mechanical clocks were still being made. Nowadays, however, most modern variants are quartz. This is more practical to use and less sensitive.
Vintage Schatz clocks can have collector's value. Modern models are primarily decorative and functional.
Our Schatz clocks are carefully assembled per order. This means the delivery time is usually about one week. In this way, we can guarantee the quality and finish you expect from a maritime instrument. Some models are available for quicker delivery; please feel free to ask us if needed.
To ensure quality and control, the clocks are not shipped en masse from stock. Assembly per order allows us to carefully inspect each instrument before it is shipped.
